Adnoc’s new station in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: Adnoc Distribution has announced the opening of Motor World service station in Shamkha area of Abu Dhabi.

It is the largest within the company’s network of stations and petroleum services.

The Motor World service station, which is spread over a 51,000 sq m area, boasts of several advanced and smart utilities, said the company.

 

 

Amec Foster Wheeler wins project

BAGHDAD: Amec Foster Wheeler, a leading engineering and project management company, has been awarded a three-year framework agreement by BP Iraq to complete conceptual studies and pre-front end engineering design (Feed) work at its Rumaila oil field in Iraq.

As per the deal, Amec Foster Wheeler will help support the company’s plans to sustain and boost production at the giant oil field.

 

 

Siemens, Gamesa in windfarm JV

MADRID: Siemens and Spain’s Gamesa agreed to create the world’s biggest builder of windfarms, with the German company paying 1 billion euros ($1.13 billion) for a majority stake in the combined business.

The group would bring together Siemens’ strength in offshore wind power and Gamesa’s leading role in developing markets.

 

 

Egypt to import 120 cargos of LNG

CAIRO: Egypt aims to import between 110 and 120 cargos of liquefied natural gas in 2017, the state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding company (Egas) told Reuters. Separately, three trade sources said Egas had purchased 10 cargoes of LNG from trade house Trafigura and one from PetroChina earlier this month. Egypt relies to a large extent on LNG to generate electricity for its 90 million people.

 

 

Top Europe firms eye Iran projects

TEHRAN: A number of leading companies from the UK, Germany and Switzerland have expressed interest in joining downstream energy projects in Iran, Iran Daily quoted a top official. "We have told all the companies keen on joining Iran’s downstream projects that we are prepared to cooperate with them only in the field of technology transfer," Abbasali Jafari Nasab, MD of the Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company said.
