PTR work with a range of materials for pipework, as well as vessels

Established in 1982, PTR Fabrications Ltd, has gained a worldwide reputation for it’s comprehensive expertise in a wide range of vessel fabrication and welding disciplines.

Operating from premises with over 22,000 sq feet of under cover floor space, they can offer specialist fabrication in a comprehensive range of materials from carbon and stainless steels through to exotic alloys.
Are able to provide a complete fabrication service from design and detail drawings through to painting and insulation. Manufacture of vessels can be carried out in accordance with ASME VIII Division 1, with ‘U’ Stamp if required, BS 5500 Cat. 1, 2 and 3, and BS EN286, as well as meeting the PED Regulations when requested.
In addition, they are able to produce vessels and tanks, all to good engineering practices, and/or to suit the clients own specifications.
Materials of construction they are able to fabricate, range from carbon steel boiler plates, austenitic and duplex stainless steels as well as nickel alloys. They can offer a commercially complete range up to approximately 20mm thick, 3m diameter by 5m long, but are able to consider vessels outside of this range.
PTR Fabrications Limited are commited to a philosophy of continual improvement. Their fundimental principle is to supply products and services of consistant quality in line with specified and agreed requirements.
Operating a Quality Management System which conforms to BS EN ISO 9000 as a minimum, their processes are continually and systematically reviewed for effectiveness and for quality compliance.
Quality is the responsibility of their total workforce and compliance with policy procedure and work instructions is mandatory and binding on all company personnel.
"Customer satisfaction depends upon the quality of our product as well as our services," confirms the firm.
In addition to their accredited Quality Management System they also hold EC Certificate of Conformity for the Design and Manufacture of Pressure Vessels and Piping Systems, to meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and have been approved by the ASME Authorities to manufacture ‘U’ Stamp vessels, for which they are authorised to apply the National Board Mark (“NB”) where required.
The company also boasts ability supply pipework spools for site installation or skid installation in a wide range of materials.
Additionally, they will provide NDE and hydrostatic testing and painting of all spools, where required, either to code or to client specifications and in accordance with the PED Regulation if required.
They have fabricated spools up to 24" NB. in a full range of materials from carbon steel through to austenitic stainless steels and including high nickel steel.
Pre-fabrication, assembly, inspection and function testing of vessels and pipework onto a suitable base frame allows construction to proceed regardless of weather and site conditions.
They have gained considerable experience constructing skids and can provide assistance with skid layout where required. Many of their clients pre-order equipment and free issue items come into their care until assembly.
They are able to manufacture skid frames in materials ranging from mild steels to austenitic stainless steels, and similarly for pipework and vessels. They have capacity to build skids up to a maximum of 12m long by 4m wide by 5m high, subject to weight constraints.
