TAQA FRAC can help increase unconventional well productivity

The company has brought together a high level of operational and engineering expertise to gain recognition as the leading hydraulic fracturing solutions provider in the conventional market

Providing world-class hydraulic fracturing with outstanding service and product delivery, operational efficiency and optimisation of well performance are the objectives that drive TAQA FRAC’s premium operations.

Without compromising the health, safety, and environment in which TAQA operates, TAQA FRAC provides fit-for-purpose solutions of hydraulic proppant and acid fracturing services to increase well productivity and hydrocarbon recovery in conventional or unconventional reservoirs.

Established in 2021 and headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, TAQA FRAC has united the highest level of operational and engineering expertise to gain recognition as the leading hydraulic fracturing service provider in the conventional market.

With a commitment to continuous innovation, the company’s services and product technology are constantly evolving, and its market share is expanding across both conventional and unconventional sites.

In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s strategy to create a vibrant society in a thriving economy through the localisation of industries, TAQA FRAC supplies specialised equipment and provides oilfield services for the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the rest of the Mena region.

TAQA FRAC is capable of reaching 50,000 hydraulic horsepower through new, cutting-edge fracturing technology, delivering hydraulic proppant and acid fracturing treatments up to 120 bpm and 15,000 psi surface working pressure.

Developing advanced fluid technologies in house through a strategic partnership with OPT - a world-class specialist in chemicals and product development - TAQA FRAC implements its own unique hydraulic fracturing fluids technologies for use across tight reservoirs of various lithology.

One of the milestones achieved by TAQA FRAC team in the Kingdom is an established method to pump CO2-based foam acid fracturing treatments. CO2-assisted stimulation is effective in treating low pressure/depleted reservoirs.

It brings benefits of post-frac cleanup due to the energy of CO2 gas and, therefore, helps in flowback and hence gives improved effective half-length and higher gas recovery ultimately.

Replacing of up to 60 per cent of damaging fracturing fluid with CO2 during this treatment, TAQA FRAC leaves a cleaner reservoir after the operation.
