Background

Adnoc LNG is planning to implement integrated gas development expansion E1 and E2 at Das Island. This project is part of the company's target to increase gas production to 2.4 billion standard cu ft (SCF) per day. Upon completion, the total LP transfer capacity of ALNG ASR will increase from 200 to 569 mmscfd. This project is Phase 2 of the development..

Project Scope

The project scope involves new gas facilities on Das Island including the construction of a new booster compression train with a capacity of 60 million cu ft per day and two feed gas compression and dehydration trains. In addition, it includes two amine-based fuel gas treatment units with 80 million cu ft per day capacity each, drying and gas treatment units, and power generation and other auxiliary services.

Project Status

As of September 2023, the construction works are progressing as scheduled. The project will come on stream in 2024.
