Algerian state oil company Sonatrach’s 335,000 barrels per day (bpd) Skikda refinery is almost back up to full production after a rolling shutdown, an official said.
“Production has resumed almost completely” the official said, adding that maintenance work finished recently.
“Some units are in the process of resuming.”
The official said Sonatrach’s 53,000 bpd Arzew refinery was scheduled for a full-scale rolling shutdown for about a month in September.
Algeria is also a major supplier of naphtha, diesel and low sulphur fuel oil to Europe and other export markets.
