Construction
The firm’s construction expertise includes 25 years of experience in pipe construction, with pipeline connecting advancing to automatic welding or, for appropriate projects, electric arc welding.
Plant construction also features in their strong history with typical activities included in industrial plant construction being site preparation, pile driving, excavation, installation of underground facilities, erection of reinforced concrete structures and structural steel, also erection of major equipment, installation of piping, electrical and instrumentation works, thermal insulation, erecting of control buildings, switchgear and other equipment, and well as start-up assistance. As a result the firm prides itself on construction projects such as Jeddak Luberef expansion and the automatic tank gauging system at the Riyadh refinery, attainf ‘outstanding’ rating for both, highly demanding projects.
Many Civil Construction Projects have also been completed successfully by FMQ usually in association with pipeline and industrial plant work. Successful completion has been confirmed on several Saudi Aramco projects where the company was commended for “Job Well Done” including outstanding safety performance ratings. Such projects involved site preparation, main plant road construction, erection of SSD type of fencing with inner and outer patrol roads, building construction (various), pipe anchor blocks, major and minor foundations and other civil related works.
Specialist services
FMQ have developed a range of specialist systems such as welding, testing and calibration services which are approved by such luminaries as Saudi Aramco. For example the firm has the capability to carry out a range of welding operations on most materials, these include Aluminium, Carbon Steels, Stainless Steels, and Copper-Nickel Alloys. Various welding techniques can be employed such as MMA, MIG, TIG, brazing and soldering, thus boasting a range of welding procedures to suit most welding applications.
FMQ were also one of the first companies to be approved by Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity Company to carry out independent third party welder testing. FMQ are approved to test welders on various materials and techniques for both pipe and plate products.
The company also has the facility and capability to carry out field or bench calibration for a range of instruments including Relief Valves, Temperature and pressure gauges using specially trained, and approved technicians.Trenchers, Tractor units, Large Compressors and crusher plants.
