Aveva has announced the appointment of Carl Bass as a new Non-Executive Director to its board. Bass is a former president and chief executive officer of industrial design software company Autodesk. He was credited with expanding Autodesk beyond its core software offerings through acquisitions and new product developments­, leading the transition from 2D to 3D model-based design. Bass is co-founder of Flying Moose, Ithaca Software and buzzsaw.
