With more than five thousand employees from twenty countries, NPCC needs an administration system which takes into account different nationalities, cultures and languages, and integrate them into a system which serves both company and employee successfully, according to Rashid Al Muhairi, Manager Personnel and Administration.

In September 1999, NPCC signed a contract with Hay Associates, one of the leading international consultants in the field of Human Resources systems development, to review the company's grading system and pay package.

NPCC has completed the first phase and will start phase two in the near future to adopt a modern human resources management system, according to Al Muhairi.

''Our system shall be the best, suitable for our nature of work as an EPC contractor serving the oil industry in the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula,'' he explained.
