Leading Saudi Arabia-based paint manufacturer Al Jazeera Paints Company is eyeing the fast-growing Middle East markets with greater confidence after being awarded the ‘Best Exhibitor’ prize at the 11th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition that was held in Bahrain earlier this year.
The company was selected for the top prize from among a group of 47 multinationals as well as local companies because of its innovative approach to bringing its technologically-advanced industrial paint products to the attention of visitors to the event. The second and third ‘best exhibitor’ positions were awarded to Saudi Aramco and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), respectively.
“These exhibitions and conferences are windows to the current market situation in the Middle East. They are an important meeting point for all players and a practical platform for a company to analyze its strengths and weaknesses and build goals and the strategies for growth,” says Mohammed Abdullah Al Romaih, chairman of Al Jazeera Paints.
“The recognition we have received from the Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition this year, is a result of a number of factors that have led to our success and will further guarantee our position in the Middle East paint market as a strong competitor,” he adds.
The conference and exhibition - organised by the Bahrain Society of Engineers and the West Asia & Africa Region and the Saudi Arabia Section of Nace International - presented the company with an ideal platform to showcase its innovative corrosion-resistant systems for the protection of buildings. For instance, the company offers systems with guaranteed long-lasting protection such as the Al Jazeera Zinc-rich epoxy primer, Jaz Epoxy MIO (micaceous iron oxide) coatings, Al Jazeera Polycoat Finish, Jaz Epokote 26 and Jaz Under Water Epoxy.
At the exhibition, the company also displayed samples coated with the products it supplies to protect marine constructions such as bridges, platforms and seaports, which are engineered and developed to tolerate all mechanical pressures that these structures are subject to.
In addition, the company also introduced innovative high-quality marine paints that can protect partly-submerged structures.
Al Jazeera’s range of paints has been certified by internationally-renowned laboratories such as Germanischer Lloyds, TNO, WRAS and COT, which confirm that they comply with international standards and are environmentally-friendly. The company also holds ISO-140001 and ISO-9001 certification for its environmental management and quality management policies.
