
Integra appoints VP
Former director for business development at Halliburton Eurasia Hans J Klampferer has been appointed as vice-president for technology at the Russian oil service company Integra, the holding company said.
Klampferer has worked at Halliburton since 1981.
“The appointment of a specialist with experience of regional integration will increase the quality of services provided by the company in various areas of its activity,” the statement quoted Integra president Felix Lyubashevsky as saying.
He said that international experience will help the holding company increase its competitiveness and expand its presence on the Russian market, and in the future, abroad.
Integra was set up at the start of 2005 to provide services for oil extraction and the production of oil and gas equipment. The company includes companies that provide drilling, well repair and geophysical research services and also production of oil and gas equipment, with annual sales of about $200 million.
The company’s clients include Lukoil, Rosneft, TNK-BP and other Russian and international companies. The company operates in Western Siberia, Komi and in the Volga-Ural region.
Maverick loses COO
Maverick Tube Corp, which makes products for the energy industry, said its president and chief operating officer, James Cowan, has resigned.
A company spokesman said there was no specific reason for Cowan’s resignation.
Chief executive officer C Robert Bunch will add the title of president, the company said. The COO post will not be filled, it added.
Cowan will receive about $1 million in salary, vacation pay, bonuses and deferred compensation, according to a copy of his severance letter.
He will also get immediate vesting on nearly 42,000 stock options granted in February 2003 at a strike price of $15.95.
The company will also transfer a club membership to Cowan and maintain the lease on his luxury car.
Maverick is a leading provider of products and services for the drilling, completion, and production cycles of oil and natural gas.
