Rhino Linings USA, a global leader in sprayed-on polyurethane linings, has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with Alaa For Industry (AFI) to provide its unique linings, which protect a variety of surfaces from corrosion and abrasion, to the region.

Rhino’s proprietary application system and its extensive range of formulations makes the linings ideal for use on truck beds and storage tanks as well as a range commercial, industrial and military applications.
The AFI group is one of the most diversified in the region with a wide portfolio of products. Headquartered in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, AFI has a wide network of branches across the Gulf.
AFI Rubber Factory, a subsidiary of AFI group, solely represents Rhino Linings, extending the company’s reputation for providing toughest and long-lasting protection in the industry.
This alliance means that world-class sprayed-on linings technology is now available locally to the industry.  After-sales support is guaranteed with highly skilled AFI professionals capable of offering a high level of support.
AFI Rubber Factory boasts state-of-the-art facilities available and the factory is accredited with ISO 9000:2001certification. One of the most growing factories of its kind in Saudi Arabia, AFI caters to the needs of key players for high quality rubber and polyurethane products in the region with a total quality approach that embodies both tangible and intangible elements of its business.
Elaborating on the Rhino linings, an AFI spokesman says: “Extremely versatile, Rhino is not a paint-like coating, but a thick polyurethane lining that tenaciously adheres to virtually any substrate – steel, aluminum, rubber, fibreglass, wood and even concrete.
He continues: “Sprayed to any desired thickness, it cures to become 100 per cent solid in just seconds. It forms an airtight and watertight seal that resist corrosion, abrasion, impact and chemicals and will never split, crack or warp.”
“The polyurethane linings are environmental friendly, solvent-free with no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) and do not require an expensive spray booth for their application. The system is specially designed for ease of operation and low maintenance and can be made mobile for on-site application.

Protection
“Available in any colour, the linings provide a thick layer of protection even under temperature extremes. Rhino linings can be sprayed or cast onto virtually any type of equipment or material, regardless of penetrations or shape, whether brand new or already in-service.
“The linings provide industrial strength protection because Rhino’s formulations can be applied significantly thicker than many other linings in the market - from one-eighth of an inch to several inches thick. The linings do not require any special surface preparation, making them economical to use on any surface.
“Rhino’s formulations are tack-free within 40 seconds, reducing the amount of down-time required for application.
The linings can be put to use on a range of industrial and commercial applications including the transportation, marine, quarrying, mining, oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.
“With the appointment of AFI as its distributor, customers now have easier access to Rhino Linings’ unique range of spray-on polyurethane linings for specific requirements. Quite simply, Rhino Linings is the best solution for protecting valuable property from impact, abrasion, corrosion, and chemical attack,” the spokesman concludes.
