

Account director David Rouse and IT director Stephen Kelly have both been instrumental in DHL winning the contract as well as for the implementation of the project.
David is currently responsible for the Saudi Aramco account where Exel Saudi Arabia provides kingdom-wide logistics services including Material collection, consolidation, transportation and delivery from/to over 2000 locations kingdom wide, using circa 200 vehicles and a team of around 500 people.
Before taking up his present role, David was the account development director for DHL Exel Supply chain (Auto Industrial Sector) responsible for the growth and development of some major global clients such as Bridgestone, Goodyear and Cummins.
During his time with the auto industrial sector he was worked across EMEA with key clients in Spain France, Germany, Sweden Italy, UK and the Middle East.
He has developed considerable supply chain knowledge and expertise through working on a number of diverse projects including being a lead member of an Acquisition teams, leading a large Pan European Supply chain redesign consultancy project, and as the implementation Director of a major subassembly, sequencing and JIT delivery operation for a car manufacture in Sweden.
David joined Exel as a graduate trainee in 1981 from Northumbria (Newcastle)University where he studied Business Studies (including Logistics and Transportation Management) gaining additional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Transport.
During his career with Exel, he has held various operational and business development roles with Exel including General Management of multi site, multi customer operations in the UK and mainland Europe.
Stephen Kelly, IT director, Middle East, DHL Exel Supply Chain, has a strategic role in the unit's current operations.
Kelly is responsible for directing IT business development including strategic alignment to support business solution sets and targets.
He also plays a leading role in leveraging the project management staff's knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in IT activities in order to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of customers, both internal and external. These include scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, and procurement through all phases of the IT life cycle.
In his 25-year career with DHL Exel Supply Chain, he has also held the positions of IT program manager - automotive sector and IS global application manager.
