Saudi Metal Coatings Company is a major supplier to Saudi Aramco facilities

Saudi Metal Coatings Company (Sacco) is the first Saudi company licensed since 1985 to protect steel reinforcing bars from corrosion by fusion bonded epoxy coating method.

It commenced its commercial operations in its first plant in Dammam in 1992.
Sacco is an approved supplier of Saudi Aramco under vendor ID # 10013733 and is the only approved vendor for fabrication of epoxy coated rebar.
Sacco was the first Saudi rebar coater to achieve ISO 9001 certification by TUV of Germany in 1996 and is the first one to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification.
The company is the proud owner of the first fully integrated plant of its kind in the Middle East for producing fusion-bonded epoxy coated rebars (FBECR) and operates sophisticated state-of-the-art plant and machinery for manufacturing and marketing of standard and custom fabricated items for the construction industry in Saudi Arabia, the rest of the GCC and other Middle Eastern countries.
Out of its existing two coating lines one is capable of coating 18 rebar in one pass and hence considered as the largest rebars coater in the Middle East.
Sacco is planning to expand its capabilities further by adding one more similar 18-rebar coating line which will be operational by the end of 2007.
With this new third line, Sacco will be the largest producer of epoxy coated steel in the world with an annual installed capacity of around 100,000 tonnes per shift and hence will be capable to cater to epoxy coated rebar requirement of mega-projects.
Sacco has also installed one of the best rebar straightening facilities to ensure the continuous supply of high-quality coatable steel rebars of 8 mm and 10 mm from hot rolled deformed rebar coils supplied by Hadeed, a Sabic affiliate, for its coating lines.
The production line facilities are efficiently exploited by a dedicated team of expert technicians to achieve customers; satisfaction and thus the company has emerged as a customer-driven organisation.
Sacco is proud of its in-house expertise available for production of custom fabricated items.
A wide range of commonly required steel rebar sizes is available ex-stock to meet customers’ urgent needs, and the company receives a large number of repeat orders which is indicative of customers’ trust in the company. Sacco was a supplier to many prestigious projects in Saudi Arabia in 2006.
The biggest supply was around 35,000 tonnes of epoxy coated rebar within a short span of eight months in 2006 for one of the Aramco’s mega projects in Khursaniyah – the Khursaniyah producing facilities and Khursaniyah gas plant.
In 2007 too, Sacco has been supplying to many projects. The most prestigious Aramco-supervised mega-project – the King Abdullah University for Science and Technology in Rabigh – is one of them.
Sacco maintains strict quality standards to ensure that its products meet customers’ requirements and applicable standard such as Saudi Aramco 0-SAMSS-106 ASTM A 775/A775M.
To ensure customer satisfaction, the company provides technical advisory services accompanied by before and after-sales assistance.
