Nasico, with its headquarters in Al Khobar, has built its reputation over more than 25 years by providing engineered equipment and maintenance services to major clients including Saudi Aramco, Sabic companies, Saudi electricity companies, SWCC, cement producers and the industrial sector.
Nasico provides a wide range of engineered products and mechanical services including pipeline and process valves, actuators, heat exchangers/pressure vessels, high pressure solutions, large motors, generators, vibration monitoring and analysis equipment, laser alignment systems, temperature measurement, protection relays, electrical motor rewinds, etc, through its exclusive representation of leading international engineering companies.
The company has exclusive representation agreements with more than 20 international engineering companies including TYCO Valves & Controls, SKF Reliability Systems, Fixturlaser, Land Instrument, Converteam Motors, AREVA, SEDIVER, Dowding & Mills, Biffi, GR Engineering, and Lokring.
Through its technical trading division, Nasico supplies plant and equipment from these principals, underpinned by its range of specialised electro-mechanical services including maintenance and after sales service through a dedicated state-of-the-art electro-mechanical workshop.
Precision
The electro-mechanical division has a well-equipped valve service and repair section as well as a high precision machine shop with metal spraying facilities.
In addition, the company has a structural steel fabrication shop which also undertakes site fabrication and structures erection jobs.
Nasico repairs all types of valves of varying sizes and pressure ranges including gate, globe, plug, ball, check, butterfly, control and safety relief valves. Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators are also overhauled and repaired in the workshop.
All valve related services offered by Nasico conform to API, ASME, ANSI and other international Standards. Nasico also possesses mobile workshops, equipped with valve testing rigs, lathe and lapping machines to undertake on-site (both onshore and offshore) testing and repairing of valves and accessories. A new exclusive valve repair shop complete with overhead crane has been set up in the Jubail light industry area to specifically cater to the growing demands of Sabic industries and Saudi Aramco’s Northern Area clients.
Nasico’s machine shop facility includes centre lathes, cylindrical, internal, and surface grinders, slotters, millers, vertical borer, lap master and super finishing machinery.
This division is able to provide a value added service to clients by carrying out re-engineering of critical parts and components and providing solutions for critical applications.
Nasico’s well-equipped structural steel fabrication shop caters to major contractors, supplying pipe racks, gantries, GIS support structure, platforms, gratings, handrails, ladders, cable tray support structure, pipes, cyclones, etc. Special stainless steel items like hoppers, chutes, pipes, etc, are also fabricated in the shop. The fabrication shop is approved, among others, by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), SWCC and the Royal Commission for supply of the above structures.
The lift division of Al Najim Group has had a very successful year with installation and maintenance contracts covering a wide range of clients both commercial and industrial in different parts of the Kingdom, including industrial type elevators for petrochemical plants.
Nasico has been aggressively pursuing Saudiisation in its different divisions and despite most of its activities being in highly technical areas, has managed to achieve close to 25 per cent Saudi manpower strength.
To find qualified technicians for its various workshop and service divisions, fresh graduates from technical schools are being sought who can be trained in various disciplines for long-term employment in the group.
