ABU DHABI OILFIELD SERVICES (ADOS), established in Abu Dhabi 1972, to support the oil and gas industry with Machining and Fabrication facilities located in the industrial area of Abu Dhabi, Musaffah, is noe considered one of the top Maching facilities in the Gulf.
Backed by international experience and standards, the workshop complex has grown over the years both in size and sophistication. Not only has it grown in size but has also increased the client industry base and geographical area for its products with constant demand by international clients. Together with the fabrication facility the “one-stop-shop” provides an extensive machining and fabrication capability.
Machining capabilities includes Premium thread cutting services (VAM, NKK, FOX, NSPT), including the cutting of tubing and casing connections and the manufacture of crossovers and accessories. Drill string connections (Grant H & X Series, NKK, DSTJ, OMSCO & API) are also cut and repaired.
ADOS’s Fabrication Facility, certified to manufacture pressure vessels (ASME ‘U’, ‘PP’ & ‘R’), storage tanks (API 650) and re-tube heat exchangers, is included within the 36,000m2 of site. To ensure that the services of ADOS are close to the client, a second facility is located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, operates under the banner of MEOS, which provides similar services to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Within the complex is the ADOS Rotating Equipment, Maintenance and Repair workshop along with the Pressure Control Centre. Combined, the centre handles the repair and maintenance of all types of valves, wellhead and blowout preventers. Another feature of the facility is the Fisher Controls licensed Repair Centre, where a wide range of control valves and instruments are repaired and serviced.
Whilst the main workshop facilities are located in Mussafah, the company’s headquarters are located in the heart of UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi.
The main office is also home to the ADOS Agency Division, where a number of major international principals, offering a diverse range of products and services, are registered and supported. The diversification covers process including; control valves, instrumentation, wellhead control systems and supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) marine and telemetry control systems. Rotating including pumps, mechanical seals, vibration analysis, oil analysis. Marine: loading hoses, single point mooring systems, navigational aids, fenders. Drilling - drill bits, direction drilling, mud logging activities, OCTG. Inspection - high tech video scopes and cameras. These are just a few of the products supported by ADOS and again offers our clients a “one-stop” facility.
Continuing with developing the business and as a result of our clients needs, the ADOS- Klinger Gasket Manufacturing Facility was established in 2000 to provide locally manufactured gaskets; utilising high quality materials, thus reducing the costly imports from other geographical locations.
The facility is equipped with the latest in computer controlled equipment specially designed to offer customers manufactured gaskets to the highest international standards. As evidence of our commitment to quality, the facility is accredited to ISO 9001 - 2000 quality standard. The factory currently holds an inventory of an extensive range of gaskets for numerous applications. Due to the success of the gasket facility, a new larger factory will be built in the early part of 2005.
