Thanks to the values and goals under which the company operates, it has become a significant player in its core specialty, which involves meeting the industrial advancement needs witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dhaifallah Al Shammary, AHSTCO President highlights the key aspects of the company’s journey, its notable achievements, and its future plans under Saudi Vision 2030.

He says: 'AHSTCO was established by my late father, Abdullah Al Shammary, after he spent 30 years working with Saudi Aramco. The company was officially founded in 2007 as an agent for Canadian company, SEALWELD, provides valve cleaners, sealants and sealing lubricants. Our company is the sole and exclusive agent for SEALWELD company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.'

Since its establishment, the company has executed numerous important projects at Aramco's facilities in Abqaiq.

Over the past period, the company has achieved significant milestones according to a well-thought-out plan to expand its scope of work.

The projects completed by the company stand as a testament to its credibility, commitment to deadlines, and swift execution.

Dhaifallah says: 'Our company takes pride in being one of the firms that have aligned with our government's plans to increase localisation rates, with 70 per cent of our employees being Saudi nationals. We are also proud to be among the leading companies in the field of industrial valve maintenance, possessing the latest technologies in this field. Today, our products, from pumps, are supplied to Canada and from there to other countries around the world.'

Additionally, the company recently signed an agreement with the Canadian manufacturer of SEALWELD products to establish a factory in the Kingdom. This achievement aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 in terms of technology transfer and localisation.

Discussing the main factors behind the company’s success and its distinction, Dhaifallah says: 'It is due the company's extensive experience, and our ability to provide innovative solutions to some of the challenges and obstacles faced by Aramco, particularly related to leakage problems.'

Citing an instance, he says Aramco suffered from valve failures causing operational disruptions and leaks. 'Our company successfully supplied SEALWELD products, initially dubbed 'magic material' due to their exceptional leak-stopping capabilities. This innovative product has helped Aramco save significant amounts of money.'

Hammad Al Shammari, General Manager, adds: 'The company has extensive experience in industrial valve maintenance and is rich in trained and qualified talents. It is also based on a solid foundation of capabilities and resources that have helped establish its position in the Saudi market.

Hussain Al Yami, Valve Maintenance - Live Line Adviser, emphasises that quality is the company’s sole choice.

He says: 'Quality has always been our goal in all administrative and operational processes, starting from management systems, finding solutions and creative ideas, project execution, and the machinery and equipment we use, to specialised training and development programmes for our teams.'

Dhaifallah further comments: 'AHSTCO draws its work inspiration from its deep understanding of industrial sector requirements and its extensive experience in oil and gas projects. With regard to Saudi Vision 2030, Dhaifallah says: 'This vision has come at the right time, offering every investor the opportunity to realign their positions in accordance with the leadership’s vision for development and prosperity. The most remarkable aspect of the vision is that it has charted a clear path for everyone, away from randomness. With this vision, we have seen the launch of numerous large projects, and we seek to take advantage of available opportunities in the coming period.'

Regarding the company’s future plans, he says: 'We look forward to enhancing our capabilities and potential. We have succeeded in transferring SEALWELD product manufacturing from Canada to the Kingdom to reduce the demand for imported products and localise technology in line with Vision 2030. And we are currently testing a new material that helps stabilise sands and prevent their dissolution. This material has been tested at several sites and is environmentally friendly, with the trials showing significant success.'

In conclusion, Dhaifallah expresses gratitude to the Saudi government for its support to Saudi companies and the sector.

He praises the development and growth in the country under Vision 2030 and affirms the company’s commitment to achieving its goals and working continuously to transfer and localise technology in various fields.
