One of Hi-Force's facilities ... part of Mideast expansion

Hi-Force Ltd, the Regional Distribution Centre for Hi-Force UK hydraulic tools will shortly celebrate its 12th anniversary of successful operation in the Middle East region.

Indeed after starting out as a small satellite marketing office with two staff in February 1992, the company’s growth, to date, has been nothing short of remarkable.
Even present Resident Director and CEO - World-wide, since 2001, Kevin Brown, firmly believes that the company’s achievements are entirely due to providing the market with a high quality product, fully supported by technical and after sales service second to none in the industry.
In fact, as Brown explains, “in the beginning so many manufacturers seemed content to ship products to a local agent without too much concern for the essential elements of after sales services, technical advice and spare parts availability. We, at Hi-Force, saw this as a tremendous opportunity to bring our unique brand of “service first” philosophy to the market and indeed 12 years on, I believe that our industry generally has significantly improved it’s support to hydraulic tool users throughout the region because of the initiatives taken by Hi-Force.”
The history of Hi-Force in the Middle East has certainly been a fast moving one. Less than one year after commencing operations in a small 27 sq m office, the company relocated to a   525 sq m office, workshop and warehouse facility within Jebel Ali Free Zone.
In February 1996, with a staff strength of 14 employees, Hi-Force opened a satellite office in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in order that the company could better serve the unique requirements of the Abu Dhabi oil and gas Industry.
Just four years later in 2000, the growth in business in Abu Dhabi justified the opening of a second fully-fledged workshop service centre, and warehouse in the Mussafah Industrial Area. Staff strength in Abu Dhabi increased to 12 employees.
Recently, Hi-Force completed it’s biggest single expansion ever with an investment of over US$ 250,000 in new larger premises in Jebel Ali Free Zone.
Occupying an area of over 1000 sq m of office space, a new larger workshop service centre and an extensive stores area holding in excess of $2m of products and spare parts. The staff levels at the new facility have now reached 22 personnel with a further 2 employees joining the company on 1st January 2004.
Craig Brown's appointment as General Manager Middle East was an integral part of the company’s growth strategy and as Craig explains: “ I see my position in the company as absolutely vital to continue the excellent regional growth achieved by Hi-Force both directly to product users and via our excellent distributor network. We currently support exclusively appointed distributors in 14 countries, and our CEO is now embarking on further expansion and distributor appointments in the exciting and challenging markets of the former CIS states including Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The function of my team is to continue to support our Business Partners and customers in all of the existing and new markets in which we operate.”
The Hi-Force Business Partner Conference held every year in Dubai certainly helps to develop the highly successful “business family” of Hi-Force and the upcoming 2004 Conference scheduled for early in the New Year will be the biggest ever with over 40 delegates expected.
Globally since opening the first Hi-Force overseas office in Dubai in 1992, Hi-Force has established additional strategically placed regional offices in Malaysia (1994), Netherlands (1995), Indonesia (1997), South Africa (2002) and France (2003). Early next year, an additional two offices will be opened, further demonstrating the exciting future growth plans of Hi-Force worldwide.
