AFI to tap Middle East construction needs with new cranes

Alaa Industrial Equipment Factory (AFI) is now the channel partner of HMF Cranes for Sales and Service of cranes in the middle east region.

Engineering and quality are like two sides of a coin, together they churn out 'Value for Money” products.
HMF Cranes is an example of this, with an added value service support from AFI, that represents HMF Cranes in the region.
Hojebjerg Maskinfabrik A/S (HMF) is amongst the world’s leading manufacturers of transport hydraulics and equipment with 55 years of manufacturing experience.
HMF has made great strides since the beginning of the fifties where the truck mounted cranes was constructed, built and subsequently tested.
Since then generation after generation of cranes, which met the requirements of the period, have now been replaced by HMF’s compre-hensive range of cranes, where it will always be possible to find a truck mounted crane to satisfies the customers demand or specification .
HMF can deliver the smallest of the crane with 0.5 tm, which can be mounted on the pick-up van to the biggest truck mounted crane with 72 tonne load moment.
The enduser is provided with various options to choose the right crane based on the application.
The most popular crane models are the “K”series- Knuckle Boom cranes. A tailored made product for the Middle East weather conditions.
The growing number of HMF Crane population is the proof of its Market acceptance, reputation and popularity.
With its comprehensive range of products, HMF is able to ensures solutions for the transport industry, solutions for both the day - to - day tasks.
AFI with its wide network of branches across the region, guarantees the secure supply of spare parts for any model crane at a minimum of 10 years even after the production of a particular model has ceased, thus ensuring an efficient work with the cranes.
Many of the cranes are able to be equipped with hydraulic accessories such as grab, pallet fork, stone clamp, rotator and personnel basket.
Apart from the standard range of truck mounted cranes, HMF is often met with the demand for special loaders, and in these cases the design and construction are made in close cooperation with the enduser.
A customer often chooses a crane which is larger and has a greater capacity than necessary for fulfilling the immediate need for lifting. This is how he will be able to accomplish the wide spectrum of tasks he is charged with. Therefore the trend which HMF seeks to follow through a continuous expansion of cranes.
In HMF, Men and Machine are working relentlessly, moving the dreams of transport industry to reality. The end-users form a critical part of the development cycle of cranes. With the introduction of two new truck mounted cranes in the 52 and 72 tm ranges, HMF moves up among the heavy -weights in the transport industry.
“Odin and Thor” the two new truck mounted cranes are specialist products, which are the result of a unique development work.
They are unique compared to those of the competitors both when it comes to technique, design, operation and performance. The two new loaders have been developed using a clean sheet approach, from totally new principles, with completely new components and an innovative design.
Rated Capacity Limitation (RCL) is user- friendly safety systems, to monitor the load moment and operation of the crane, preventing overload situation thus securing against wear and tear.
The system warns the operator by means of diodes and a buzzer when the crane is getting in to an overload situation.
The system automatically interrupts the flow of oil to the crane in overload conditions. A cable connection is fitted to the controller making it possible to connect a test terminal or a PC and thereby read the information recorded on load moment, operation, performance and service.
EVS - Electronic Vehicle Stability is patented stability system setting new standards for crane safety.
With EVS, the vehicle stability is utilise “right to the limits”. The system monitors the load moment and movement of the crane in relation to the actual stability of the vehicle. As the load moment on the crane increases and the vehicle ‘s stability approaches its limit, the operator is kept informed, both visually and acoustically.
The EVS system reacts with lightning speed and prevents the truck from overturning, when stability is marginal. The system allows the enduser to work to the maximum capacity of the crane right from start, making the vehicle stable by positioning the load on the body so that stability is optimised.
