Agility wins Adipec freight contract

LONDON

: Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has been awarded a contract by dmg::events to manage international freight and provide on-site handling services for the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec) in 2015 and 2016. Both events will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Adipec is a major global trade show and conference for oil and gas professionals. The 31st edition of Adipec will be held from November 9-12 this year. As the official freight and on-site handling contractor, Agility Fairs & Events will be responsible for assisting exhibitors and their contractors with logistical requirements and shipping of exhibits to and from the Adipec events.


Iraq firm offers fuel oil

SINGAPORE: Iraqi Oil Tankers Company has offered up to 100,000 tonnes of fuel oil for loading in April, industry sources said. The company has offered 50,000 to 100,000 tonnes of fuel oil to be loaded on four tankers from Baghdad, Shatt Al-Arab, Al-Forat and Dijla in April. The estimated price for the cargoes, which traders said were of the straight-run fuel oil grade, will be around $450 a tonne.


Kirkuk loadings rise

LONDON: Loadings of Iraqi Kirkuk crude have reached 400,000 barrels per day (bpd)for the first time since the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region reached a deal on oil exports with the central government in Baghdad. Loading data from the Turkish port of Ceyhan showed exports jumped from an average of 350,000 bpd over the past week and some 275,000-300,000 in February and January.


New president for Saudi Kayan

RIYADH: Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company has appointed Nasser bin Abdulaziz Abanmai as president, a bourse filing said, a week after his predecessor resigned for personal reasons.

A unit of Saudi Basic Industries Corp (Sabic), one of the world’s biggest petrochemical firms, Saudi Kayan said on March 1 Mazyad Al-Khaldi stepped down and that the petrochemicals firm would announce a replacement in due course. 


Libya shuts down 2 oilfields

BENGHAZI: Libya has shut down two eastern oilfields due to security reasons following militant attacks on oil operations in the North African country, an oil official said. Only the fields called 103A and 103B were still operating, the official said.

Staff had been evacuated from the Zella and Fida fields, located to the east of oilfields which have been attacked recently by militants. State-run National Oil Corp (NOC) had declared force majeure for 11 fields last week due to the attacks.


Egypt extends bidding for oil blocks

CAIRO: Egypt extended the deadline for companies to bid for 10 oil exploration concessions to May 31 from March 31, state-owned Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) said. It did not give a reason for the extension.
