Saudi based construction company, PA COST International, a subsidiary of ORA Holding Group, has been awarded a 115/13.8-kV Dammam Stadium substation project.
 
SaudiGulf Projects stated that the project, located in Dammam in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, is valued at SAR 146 million ($38 million), and was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
 
Mohammed Latif, General Manager, PA COST said: “The project will see the construction of a new 115/13.8-kV indoor GIS-type substation, arranged in a double-bus-single breaker configuration.”
 
The new substation will fed HV through two underground cables circuits from the Doha 380/115-kV BSP.
 
Nasser Alshahrani, Business Development Manager, said: "The new substation shall be equipped with a substation automation system (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the company’s power control center (PCC) through a SCADA system, communication system and gateway.”
