Air Products and Yara International are partnering to integrate Air Products’ low-emission hydrogen with Yara’s ammonia production and distribution.
In Louisiana, Air Products is developing a large low-carbon energy complex, producing over 750 million cu ft of low-carbon hydrogen daily and capturing 95 per cent of carbon.
Yara would acquire the ammonia facilities (25 per cent of $8-$9 billion) and integrate output into its global network, receiving 80 per cent of hydrogen under a 25-year offtake agreement for 2.8 million tonnes of ammonia annually.
The NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia is 90 per cent complete, with commercial production expected in 2027, and Yara may market excess renewable ammonia in Europe.
Final investment decisions are targeted by mid-2026, with full completion by 2030.
