The impressive Ruwais refinery, a symbol of the progression echoed by Inma

The Gulf Development and Construction LLc (INMA) commenced operations in the UAE on January 1, 1972 and since then has synchronously kept pace with the rapid developments of the country, which started with a formal Federal structure about the same time.

The birth of the new country, drove every sector of the economy to focus on reaching new levels of operations and progress and Inma also organised itself to meet a related demand i.e. Quality equipment for use in the oil , construction and industrial sectors. Internationally known brands of equipment were stocked and supplied, and the local component of providing technical service expertise and aftermarket spares was exclusively offered by Inma.

In 1982, by now firmly established in the market, Inma began its fruitful and collaborative partnership with the specialist in compressed air and construction and mining equipment - Atlas Copco AB of Sweden.

Whether it was the rapidly developing oilfield industry needing equipment for critical operations or the manufacturing industry producing Plastic products or bottling mineral water; or quarries blasting rock and sizing them; or the municipalities carrying out repair works in tight time scheduled projects - Atlas Copco had the right product for the application  and Inma met the local demands from these sectors.

For the oil and gas sector, especially with its demanding specifications and expectations for performance in the toughest conditions, Atlas Copco developed the suitable product for instrument air applications. 100 per cent oil-free air, clean & dry in extreme temperatures with dusty and humid conditions, required a very well designed and reliable system - and Atlas Copco's Z compressors ideally met the needs.

For other conventional applications, Atlas Copco also provides the Oil-injected compressors, and today is indeed the leader in both technologies. Inma markets both types and fully provides the back-up support for the more than 1500 units operating in the field today. The oil sector also uses portable diesel engine driven compressors in its various fields for operating pneumatic tools and other accessories, which are again much sought after products from Atlas Copco. Lately, the newly extended range of Diesel Gensets, covering a wide capacity range, have also begun making a mark for themselves.
' The Customer's needs are the first priority -  both at Inma and Atlas Copco - and that is why we are privileged to have a long list of loyal and repeat clients today' says Mr. Samir Aweidah, Managing Director of Inma.

' When the client finds that we are offering solutions instead of just a  product, he prefers dealing with Inma.'

Besides Atlas Copco, Inma also represents other major International brands, popular in the Oil-field sector and as well as the construction and manufacturing Industry, such as ALIMAK, Sweden (off-shore permanent lifts and hoists); LIEBHERR, Germany (tower cranes); HAULOTTE, France (access platforms); HATZ, Germany (diesel engines and light gensets); FLYGT, Sweden (submersible pumps) ; JUNGHEINRICH, Germany (lift trucks and warehouse material handling systems); etc.

The top quality products from these companies are in constant demand from the oil and gas sector and Inma always ensures timely supplies by ensuring stock availability of these units and their spare parts, the company claim.

'Our partnership with internationally reputed manufacturers and the quality of their products has been an important factor for the wide acceptability we have in the local market today' says Mr. Aweidah.

31 years has indeed proved that right - for Inma-The Gulf Development and Construction LLC. Operating from its service and sales centers, the company covers the territory of UAE for the products represented.

After-sale service is available from the above centers provided by factory trained engineers, who are well in tune with the products. A well stocked spares depot  ensures that essential parts are available off-the-shelf and hence cuts down time.
And the local availability of such facilities certainly  gives the users' peace of mind and repeated confidence in the product and services.
