Pipe projects have already been completed while others are still under construction...

Transport infrastructure has not been ignored amongst the interest and investment in a  growing upstream sector with various new pipeline projects being completed planned and completed.

Total Abu Al Bukhoosh (ABK), a unit of French oil giant Total, has completed a 52-km (32-mile) pipeline from its offshore Abu Al Bukhoosh oilfield in Abu Dhabi to Das Island, allowing the company to export crude oil by pipeline rather than by using a floating export storage tanker.

Operating company ADMA-OPCO said oil coming from the new 10-inch pipeline will be mixed with that of Umm Shaif to be stored in Das Island's industrial area ready for export.
'This is a historical turning point in the history of our export activities,' said Jerard Rabier, general manager of Total ABK, in the latest ADMA-OPCO publication.

ADMA-OPCO is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), 60 per cent, BP Amoco, 14.2 per cent, Total 13.1 per cent and Japan Oil Development Co (JODCO), 12 per cent.

Engineers India Ltd has also claimed the agreement of a US$5.29 million inter-refineries pipelines project in Abu Dhabi.  Takreer, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, has awarded the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) services contract to EIL, a company press statement said.

The project comprises FEED for over 800 kilometres of inter-refineries, intermediate and product pipelines and associated facilities at Ruwais, Mussafah and Um Al Nar and Al Ain.
