WITH A mission to provide customer-focused drilling and integrated well services, Oman-based MB Group is gearing up to provide an even safer, more reliable and cost effective service, according to the company.
As part of its Corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Plan, the MB Group is complementing its deeply entrenched Quality and HSE Management Systems, which currently comprise ISO9002 certification, with Environmental Systems ISO14001 and Safety Systems OHSAS18001, it has said.
The Corporate Plan for the Group identifies the minimum QHSE requirements for activities which it intends to undertake to meet agreed corporate objectives.
More specifically, the MB Group says that it is working towards a safety culture with zero lost time incidents; zero fatalities; zero rollovers; zero environmental impact and continuous improvement of performance.
The MB Group’s scope of activities covers drilling; workover and well servicing; well testing and production services; coiled tubing and nitrogen services; wireline services; drilling fluids engineering; mud logging services; laboratory services; chemicals; fire fighting and well capping; integrated project services; technical management services and oil and gas exploration and production.
For its drilling services, the MB Group offers, through acquisitions, more than 40 years of accumulated experience in drilling wells under extreme conditions of formation temperature, pressure and corrosive environment in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In the field of workover and well testing, the MB Group has grown into the largest independent contractor in the Middle East, though it says that it will continue to expand services to meet customer needs while spearheading increasingly demanding and technically complex operations.
The company has developed its own on-site reporting software to present the well test results comprehensively, including sampling information, field readings, oil flow rates, gas flow rates, water flow rates and well test data summary sheets.
Indeed, the Group invests heavily in Research & Development to remain at the forefront of oilfield technology and provide innovative solution to its clients, it says.
The overriding factor in the MB Group’s success, however, is attributed to the skills and attitude of its employees, according to chairman and CEO Mohammed Al Barwani.
Highly trained and experienced, teamwork is a key for its dedicated staff, who are now laying solid groundwork on which the MB Group’s future fortunes depend.
