GlobalSantaFe has signed a lucrative contract with Saudi Aramco for the provision of four jack-up rigs, each for a period of four-years, starting in March and April 2007.

The drilling contract is the largest ever signed by GlobalSantaFe, with the company also claiming it to be the largest jack-up agreement signed in the history of the offshore drilling industry.
