Saudi-based alfanar will launch the new SAS – Substations Automation System -- at the Middle East Electricity Exhibition.

SAS automatically controls and monitors the required operations and status of the power system substations through the grid via intelligent electronic devices, the system can control, automate, supervise, or monitor, the conditions and status of the power system components in the substation.

Operators and engineers can control and monitor the information remotely on computer displays, graphical wall screens or laptop computers, and locally at the device or on front-panel displays.

Also alfanar is showing this year the new range of switches and sockets Granada which brings the best of international quality to one’s home, office and leisure environments. This range of wiring accessories encompasses futuristic design and cutting-edge technology.

'Year 2016 was excellent year and alfanar registered more market growth and I think 2017 will be the same with more competition and new challenges,' says a spokesman.

alfanar has plans to expand in the Middle East & Europe and as part of that plan alfanar recently acquired two companies, one in Germany and the other in Italy (Ascoli Piceno).
