Jotun is pleased to participate in the celebration of Adnoc's achievements over the past thirty years.
During that period, Jotun says it has had the good fortune to work closely on many of the early development projects right through to the more current expansion programme throughout, Adnoc and it's associated companies.
Jotun has supplied high performance protective, decorative and marine coatings for projects such as Onshore Gas Development Phases one and two (OGD-I and II), Borouge Ruwais, Ruwais Refinery Expansion and many others.
In all cases, Jotun was contracted to supply protective coatings which met the strict specification criteria and quality standards demanded by Adnoc.
Jotun coatings have been used in all exposure zones typical of the petrochemical industry. Tens of thousands of square metres have been protected, structural components, pipelines, storage tanks, high temperature areas, chemical and hazardous areas, all with Jotun products.
The supply and servicing of a major Adnoc project can be very demanding, once a project starts, it stops for nothing. Jotun prides itself in being able to meet and exceed the supply and service expectations of its clients.
Supply is effected through a state-of-the-art factory, the most modern of it's kind in the Emirates, totally self- sufficient and situated in the Mussafah area of Abu Dhabi. Service levels are maximised through efficient, effective and well-trained staff who together have secured the top Sheikh Khalifa Diamond Award to Industry for two consecutive years.
As with Adnoc, Jotun is focused on the future and innovation. Available now are products which take into consideration life cycle cost analysis, safety and the environment.
Many years of experience and development place Jotun as a market leader in this field. The product range has already been revised and developed to meet strict US and European legislation regarding Volatile Inorganic Compounds (VOCs) which are a major contributor to the global ozone problem.
New products soon to be available in the Gulf region include an optimised version of the already successful Baltoflake, Baltoflake Multi -E, which now gives users the opportunity of placing a polyester, glassflake reinforced system in a broad spectrum of environments.
The material has a zero VOC rating, and a wider Dry Film Thickness range. Coupled with a twenty-year maintenance cycle, it's the ultimate environmentally friendly material.
Other new materials include a high solid epoxy mid-coat, Jotabuild, and Jotathane, a polyurethane finish coat, again with high solids. Jotathane has increased chemical resistance, and it has also proven to give maximum gloss and colour stability under exposure to the harsh Gulf climate.
It is Jotun's aim to be the ideal partners to industry and the environment, and it says that continued close cooperation, innovation and development will ultimately enable this goal to be achieved.
