Acacus Oil Operations Company, which is run by Libya's National Oil Company (NOC), has drilled 10 vertical and horizontal wells and completed maintenance on 18 others, NOC said, adding that production capacity for these wells had reached 24,921 barrels per day.

Acacus runs two fields in the Murzuq Basin in Libya's southwest and owns two concessions, blocks MN115 and MN186, which are now known as the Sharara oil field, one of Libya's largest.

Sharara oil field has a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day and is run by NOC via Acacus with Spain's Repsol, France's Total, Austria's OMV, and Norway's Equinor. -Reuters
