
Dubai-based telecom firm du on Thursday posted a loss of 44 million ($11.98 million) dirhams in the second quarter, below an analyst forecast.
Investment bank EFG-Hermes forecasted a loss of 46.04 million dirhams in a Reuters survey last month.
The company reported revenues of 908 million dirhams for the period ending 30 June 2008, a 200 percent increase from the same period in 2007, it said.
Du made a loss of 61.66 million dirhams in the first quarter of this year. Its revenues were 302.25 million dirhams in the second quarter of last year and 756.42 million dirhams in the first quarter of this year. - Reuters
