A senior delegation from ThyssenKrupp Steel – Germany visited Arabian Pipes Company’s (Anabeeb) facilities in Riyadh and Jubail and witnessed the various ongoing expansion projects in the pipe manufacturing sector.

The delegation, headed by Peter Selbach, senior vice president for Industry Division, was accompanied by Royal Legend DMCC, ThyssenKrupp’s agent in the Middle East, located in Dubai.
The prestigious German steelmaker is one of the largest producer and supplier of high-quality steel with capacity exceeding 14 million tons per annum.
Arabian Pipes Company, the region’s leading pipe manufacturer, is ThyssenKrupp’s biggest client for Sour Grade hot rolled carbon steel coils, with orders exceeding hundreds of millions per year.
The steel requirements of Arabian Pipes Company are expected to rise sharply in the next few years in view of its Riyadh facility’s long-term production projects as well as projected requirements for its Jubail large-diameter pipe plant and further planned expansion projects.
Selbach stated that ThyssenKrupp was thoroughly impressed to observe the capabilities of Arabian Pipes in producing high quality pipes in very competitive local and international markets and the delegation assured Arabian Pipes of continued support through steady supply and major allocation of steel raw materials to sustain their needs.
In his welcoming speech given during the dinner hosted to honour ThyssenKrupp’s visit, Arabian Pipes’ Chairman Saad Ibrahim Al-Mojel expressed gratitude and appreciation of the visit and support of ThyssenKrupp and addressed the possibilities of strong potential for common investments between the two companies.
The business dinner was attended by Arabian Pipes Company’s member of the board Sulaiman Abdulkader Al-Muhaidib, General Manager Saud Mohammed Al-Fayez and key executives.
