Sabic will bid to develop chemical plants in Algeria in ventures with state-owned Sonatrach, Al-Hayat reported, citing Sabic’s chief financial officer.

Sabic is interested in building ethylene and polyethylene plants in the North African state after it passed laws making it easier for foreign companies to invest, Chief Financial OfficerMutlaq Al-Morished, said, according to the newspaper.
Al-Hayat did not give more details about the plan.
