Future Pipe Industries (FPI) LLC - Dammam, member of Future Pipe Group, is an acknowledged leader in the manufacture of high performance, anti-corrosive fiberglass pipe systems.
FPI has emerged as the leading provider of composite thermosetting pipe systems and technologies in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, North America and Asia.
Future Pipe Industries (FPI) LLC - Dammam plant was formally established in mid 2003 and is a wholly privately owned company reflecting significant investment by its shareholders.
The Group anticipates sales in excess of SR1.2 billion riyals for 2007 in the GCC alone.
A substantial portion of the sales will be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where the demand for high quality high performance fiberglass pipes is on the rise.
The Group has completed two expansions of its facility in Dammam to cater for the ever expanding need for Jubail projects by adding additional capacity to it’s world renowned Fiberstrong - Glass reinforced plastic pipe system ( GRP ) existing lines as well as their Wavistrong - Glass reinforced epoxy pipe system (GRE).
Furthermore, plans are finalised for an identical new facility in Yanbu to cater to the mammoth projects expected, and to enhance our service and commitment to our clients by producing the entire product range within the proximity of these projects. FPI has achieved prominence by providing quality products by continuously improving its proprietary technology for pipe manufacturing through research and development. The latest being its newly established testing facility that has been certified to conduct short term and long term tests in accordance with API , ASTM and ISO standards at high pressures and temperatures .
These investments in R&D are needed to cater for our client’s requirements to continuously expand the usage of FPI brands in more critical applications such as high pressure and temperature conditions.
Through FPI’s global network of manufacturing plants, sales offices, engineering offices, and representatives, FPI can provide world wide logistical support to its customers.
FPI has formed a strategic alliance with Dynaflow international, a leading composite pipe research and engineering group to support FPI’s philosophy of “Single Point Responsibility” in order to fulfill client requirements.
Under the above philosophy, FPI assumes complete responsibility for every aspect of the project, by carrying out the design, pipe manufacturing, installation supervision, testing and commissioning supervision of the pipe system.
A project manager is assigned to each contract to cater to client requirements and to manage the whole process of engineering design, pipe manufacturing, site supervision and testing.
FPI’s has been actively involved in the development of the Jubail industrial Complex. It is currently supplying pipes to the massive sea water cooling lines for the Jubail II expansion Project.
The scope of work consists of engineering design, supplying a total of 12 kms of pipe and fittings with a diameter of 4,000 mm.
The design supply and installation of these huge pipe diameters are a first for the Kingdom.
They reflect the advanced technical capabilities of the FPI Dammam manufacturing facilities, which are utilising cutting edge technology and knowledge to design and manufacture GRP pipes of these diameters.
Applications
Fiberstrong (GRP/GRV) offers excellent performance in terms of corrosion resistance and resistance to loads (buried installations).
GRP Pipes have been extensively used across the GCC for power generation and desalination (sea water intake/outfall, brine water, condensate, potable water networks and municipal applications (sewer lines, irrigation).
Wavistrong Epoxy based fiberglass reinforced composites (GRE) offer superior performance in relation to temperature and pressure.
Due to the rigorous standards applied to the manufacturing of GRE, there are relatively few companies globally qualified to produce such systems. GRE is extensively used in the oil and gas industry for a range of applications, from potable and sea water systems to steam condensate, injection lines, brackish water lines, fire systems, crude oil and water injection lines.
It is worth noting that seawater, chemicals, water and atmospheric environments cause severe corrosion on metallic pipes within a relatively short period of time. Carbon Steel pipes have a design life of 20 years.
FPI GRP pipes are designed for life of 50 years. FPI has been involved with most of the major power and desalination plants throughout the region due to its reputation as a reliable pipe supplier.
FPI also offer Tank systems (vertical and horizontal) as a corrosion free alternative to metal tanks. Main end users have been petrol stations and chemical tanks.
FPI have worked closely with their clients in most of the huge municipal and industrial projects in the region. FPI’s commitments to its clients and product quality have made them the supplier of choice over the last 15 years.
