Pertamina seeks jet fuel

Indonesian state-owned firm PT Pertamina is seeking up to 1.8 million barrels of jet fuel for delivery over the first quarter of next year, a tender document showed.

The company is seeking one to three cargoes of 200,000 barrels each a month of jet fuel for the first quarter of next year. The cargoes are to be delivered either on a free-on-board (FOB) Singapore or Malaysia basis or on a cost and freight (CFR) Jakarta basis, according to the document.

Pertamina has offered the option of tying up the contracts for either the January to March 2016 period or January to June 2016 period.

If the contract is awarded for the first half, Pertamina will inform sellers of quantity required for the second quarter in February, according to the document.

The tender closes on November 10 and is valid until November 12. It is unclear if Pertamina is seeking gasoil for term requirements for next year.

An official from the company said that Pertamina does not expect to import any gasoil in 2016 following government rules to encourage the use of biodiesel.
