Siemens Power Generation's Industrial Applications Group offers a full range of rotating equipment based solutions and services designed to serve the needs of the oil and gas and chemical process industries, and industrial power producers.
Headquartered in Duisburg, Germany, Industrial Applications has a business volume of over two billion Euros and 10,000 employees worldwide.
The division today represents over one-third of the employees of the Siemens Power Generation Group.
As a global partner and a world leader in rotating equipment, Siemens Power Generation Industrial Applications supplies the world's process and power industries with state of the art power generation and compression solutions.
As a system integrator, Siemens provide customised solutions for all upstream, midstream and downstream compression and power requirements.
A truly global organisation
Siemens Power Generation's Industrial Applications Division is a global organisation with competence and support centres all over the world.
Substantial local presence for application and service support is available worldwide. Special Oil and Gas Competence Centres are maintained among others in Houston, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, London, and Moscow.
The Oil & Gas Division
The Oil & Gas Division provides solutions and services along the entire value chain, upstream, midstream, and downstream.
Whether onshore or offshore, Siemens solutions are found in e.g. gas/oil separation, gas gathering and treatment, enhanced oil recovery processes, and natural gas and crude oil transmission and distribution.
Siemens has pioneered the use of turbo compressors for boil-off gas applications with its groundbreaking metallurgical research word. At the heart of its solutions is a finely graded portfolio of compressors and drivers, ie gas turbines, steam turbines and electric motors. The same gas turbine products used as mechanical drivers for pumps and compressors are applied for oil and gas field power generation.
Siemens accepts the continuing technology challenge as the industry moves further into new frontiers and production provinces hitherto considered either too hostile or ecologically too sensitive to allow for the production of hydrocarbons.
With new technology concepts Siemens will help to overcome these barriers.
