Technical Engineering and Marketing Services (TEAMS-Bahrain), a division of BASREC, a trusted and reputable name in ship engineering and repair across the region, plans to diversify its activities to include more products and services to its repertoire under the guidance of CEO Didine Saadi.

Currently an electrical engineering company specialising in the manufacture, modification and maintenance of switchboards, motor control centres and control panels, Teams, which has been providing quality service and products to different top-notch companies in Bahrain, will also focus on mechanical and plumbing equipment and MIPR (marine industrial pump repairing), which takes care of the entire pumping and valves services using a good range of machines, says TEAMS manager, Sanjib Chatterjee.

Besides, under the leadership of Saadi, who heads all the divisions, TEAMS executed 40-50 projects last year will introduce new environment-friendly technologies and products to the Bahrain market this year including solar equipment and new lighting products. Solar equipment include photovoltaics for street lighting and even solar air conditioners. The division has been performing well registering growth every year that it might even consider exporting products and services to other GCC countries, he says.

Representing 15-18 brands, the division has a dedicated team, many of whom have more than 25 years of experience in the switchgear and control panel industry and are well-equipped to tackle technical challenges and meet critical shutdown periods. For lighting solutions it has a joint venture (JV) with Luker USA and for sectional tanks it is tied up with a Korean company.

The unit’s clients include Asry, Bapco, GPIC, Alba, Gulf Industrial Investment Company, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mills Company, Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Company, Bahrain Defence Force and the Bahrain Airport Company.

To a question he says the unit’s watchwords are expertise, commitment, quality and excellent services. "Every complaint is attended to and solution provided within 48 hours."

TEAMS, a one-stop shop for all types of electrical products, is not just content with just delivering products. "We help clients in the design phase and offer customised solutions that are effective. Our package offers total solutions including design, erection and maintenance," he says.

Customers are given assistance in selecting a particular product for the efficient, optimal use of its various resources. Moreover, TEAMS-Bahrain’s design department continuously upgrades the range of products that it offers.

Mechanical products associated with TEAMS-Bahrain, such as sewerage pumps and ventilation equipment, have enjoyed significant market share in Bahrain for many years, and shall keep dominating the market due to their superior quality compared with other products, backed up with excellent after sales support, he says.

Teams is aggressively marketing pumps to various clients in Bahrain. "Our pumps and products encompass sectors including oil and gas, food and housing," Chatterjee says.

The brands marketed include Sunmaster solar solution, Mennekers plugs, Ebara pumps, Luker lighting solutions, MESC cables and Schneider switchgear.Among the key projects TEAMS was associated with are the Alba expansion and the Bahrain International Airport expansion.
