Saudi Aramco’s Mohammed AlGhazal, a digital transformation evangelist, has been selected as one of 15 global influencers in the energy sector for 2020.

The selections were done by The Way Ahead, a publication of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, as 'TWA Energy Influencers 2020', who through their actions and impact, help articulate the 'North Star Vision' of the industry.

AlGhazal has been involved with several projects in petroleum engineering, safety, cybersecurity, and digital data analytics. He has developed machine learning models to optimise on-site operational decisions, and predict and prescribe asset integrity management solutions.

The other influencers include Wassem Alward (Schlumberger), Nayef Alyafei (Texas A&M University Qatar), Mervin Azeta (Schlumberger), Andrew Coit (NOV), Israel Guevara (Glouphi), Yana Korneeva (Northern Arctic), Alejandro Lerza (Chevron), Wai Li (University of Western Australia, and Oilchemleader), Shubham Mishra (Schlumberger), Ankesh Nagar (Cairn Oil & Gas), Guillaume Navez (Total), Joschka Röth (RWTH Aachen University), Pushpesh Sharma (Inveniam Asset Management), and Scarlett-Nicole Tucker (Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies).
