Background

KOC plans to establish two more Jurassic Production Facilities (JPF 4 and 5). They will have a total production capacity if 50,000 bopd and 150 million standard cubic feet (mmscf/d) of gas from the following oil and gas fields: Raudhatain, Sabriyah, North West Raudhatain, Umm-Niqa, Dhabi, Bahra, the fields of Marrat, and Najmah-Sarjelu.

Project Status

As of February 2022, the EPC contractors have started developing the land and are building the temporary facilities at the project site.

Project Scope

The project scope includes two JPFs. JPF 4 will be located close to the Sabriyah field in the north of Kuwait and JPF-5 will be located less than 10 km to the east of JPF-4. Facilities at the JPFs will consist of an oil inlet, separation, oil treatment and export section sour gas compression section; gas treatment (conditioning, sweetening and dehydration) and export section effluent water treatment and disposal section; sulphur recovery unit and transport section; utility and supporting systems; infrastructure (buildings, roads, etc).
