RTP-4000 range ... the next-generation of intelligent valve positioners
Visitors can see the RTP-4440 in action and learn how this positioner can enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and digitalisation in valve automation
Rotork has announced the launch of the RTP-4000 range, a new generation of intelligent valve positioners designed to set new standards in performance, reliability, and digitalisation for demanding control valve applications.
The dual certified model makes its public debut at ADIPEC 2025, one of the world’s most significant energy industry events.
Visitors can see the RTP-4440 in action and speak with product experts about how this next-generation positioner can enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and digitalisation in valve automation.
"The product is engineered to deliver an optimised solution for a wide variety of valve automation challenges," says a company spokesman.
Combining smooth installation and commissioning with premium online diagnostics, the RTP-4000 ensures seamless system integration and fast, energy-efficient operation.
Its design reflects Rotork’s commitment to innovation, reliability, and operational excellence.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING
One of the standout features of the RTP-4000 is its ease of installation and commissioning.
The device supports quick and straightforward setup, with simple auto-calibration and integration into all major control and asset management systems.

The user-friendly dashboard provides a clear, comprehensive overview of the valve status |
This reduces the time and complexity often associated with deploying smart positioners, allowing operators to focus on productivity and uptime.
Other features of the RTP-4000 include:
• Reliable, contactless operation: The RTP-4000 has a magnetic, leverless, and linkageless position feedback system.
Besides enabling seamless installation, this eliminates the mechanical wear and tear associated with traditional linkage designs.
This contactless approach enhances long-term reliability, making the RTP-4000 a durable solution for both single- and double-acting actuators on linear and rotary valves.
• Advanced diagnostics and digitalisation: Digitalisation is at the core of the design. The positioner features advanced pressure sensor-based diagnostics, providing real-time valve status in accordance with NAMUR NE107 standard.
Operators benefit from both offline diagnostics, such as valve signature tests and step response tests, as well as premium online diagnostics, including trends, monitoring, counters, and a comprehensive alarm panel with maintenance recommendations.
The user-friendly dashboard offers a one-glance overview of valve status, supporting predictive maintenance strategies and minimising unplanned downtime.
• Rugged construction for harsh environments: Engineered for durability, the rugged corrosion-resistant construction, featuring copper-free aluminium, ensures durability even in the harshest corrosive conditions.
The electronics are potted in resin, safeguarding against moisture, dust, toxic chemicals, and mechanical shock, making the RTP-4000 suitable for the most demanding applications.
The arctic option extends the temperature range down to -55 deg C.
• Energy efficiency and system integration: The model’s high pneumatic capacity enables fast valve operation without the need for external volume boosters, simplifying the valve assembly while enhancing its reliability.
Optimised supply air consumption contributes to reduced operational costs. It integrates seamlessly with all main DCS and AMS host systems, supporting HART 7 protocol and offering configurable digital output and input options, making it suitable also for more complex applications.
• Safety, compliance and flexibility: Built with safety and compliance in mind, the RTP-4400 (the first model in the RTP-4000 range) is dual certified for Exd and Exi environments.
It also supports emergency shutdown (ESD) applications with partial stroke testing (PST) capability and related diagnostics.
The modular design simplifies maintenance and servicing, while a wide selection of readily available mounting brackets ensures compatibility with any pneumatic actuator.
Rotork will be exhibiting at Hall 1, Stand No 1006, at ADIPEC 2025.
