Exhibitors presented innovations in energy, solar, smart meters, and AI security
E-world energy & water at Messe Essen, Germany, returned stronger than ever, attracting a record 37,000 trade visitors and 1,136 exhibitors from 126 nations.
The event took place from February 10-12.
Key topics included the energy transition, security of supply, artificial intelligence, and new storage technologies.
Visitors primarily represented energy suppliers, municipal utilities, commercial customers, service providers, and research institutions, with strong participation from the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Belgium.
Across six exhibition halls and the Galeria, international and regional energy suppliers, industrial companies, consultancies, research institutions, technology providers, and start-ups showcased innovations for efficient energy management, large-scale photovoltaics, smart meters, and AI-supported security technologies.
The innovation area grew by 40 percent, highlighting new solutions for the energy transition.
The trade fair featured a robust supporting programme, including forums, the Energy Leadership Meeting, the Fiber Optic Forum, Day of Consulates, Municipalities Day, and Career Day, fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and networking.
Industry leaders and government representatives addressed current challenges such as power plant strategy, capacity mechanisms, and price zone segmentation.
"These intense three days of E world once again showed how important face-to-face exchange is for the energy industry. Full exhibition halls and conversations at all levels—including between politics and business—and the fact that seven out of ten visitors are decision-makers with strong purchasing and procurement authority send a clear message: E world is where the energy transition becomes tangible," said Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E world GmbH.
Her fellow Managing Director Sabina Großkreuz added: "We are particularly pleased with the increase in international participation. For the first time, more than 30 percent of the companies came from abroad. Among our visitors, the share rose to around 30 percent. This underlines the importance of E world as a leading international event that transcends borders."
E-world 2027 will expand to include halls 7 and 8 and the East Entrance, focusing on "Resilient Infrastructure."
With high exhibitor satisfaction and strong visitor interest, nine out of ten participants have already confirmed plans to return, cementing E-world’s position as Europe’s leading energy industry platform.
