The 16th IEA-IEF-OPEC Symposium on Energy Outlooks brought together senior decision-makers, analysts, and industry leaders to discuss the rapidly evolving energy landscape amid new market realities, shifting policies, and climate imperatives.
Under the theme, ‘Megatrends, Resilience, and Change’, the Symposium examined how markets, technologies, and policies can align to ensure secure, sustainable, and affordable energy.
The event was chaired by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, and co-hosted by Jassim Alshirawi, Secretary General of the International Energy Forum; Haitham Al Ghais, Secretary General of OPEC; and Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency.
The programme featured five key sessions, including the opening session, which set the stage with remarks on megatrends and resilience.
The IEF Comparative Outlook Report session compared projections from the IEA, OPEC, and EIA, highlighting implications for markets and policy.
Senior government and industry representatives shared perspectives on energy priorities and demand drivers.
Medium-term outlooks addressed navigating global risks while balancing security, sustainability, and affordability.
The final session focused on long-term strategies, linking energy security to transitions, investments, and technological innovation needed to meet future energy demand.
