Ramis Engineering president Ismail Haji Agha Kazerooni receives award from the Prime Minister

Beginning by providing a tank cleaning service to the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) in 1976, Ramsis Engineering has expanded its business from maintenance, shutdown and construction to design/manufacture/installation/precommissioning of heat exchangers, fin-fan coolers, pressure vessels, columns, evaporators and condensers.

In 26 years, the company has come a very long way.

Meeting all internationally-recognised manufacturing quality standards, Ramsis Engineering holds ISO9001 certification and ASME, U, U2, PP, A, S and NBBI R accreditation.

Ramsis Engineering was awarded last year the Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Excellence in Industry in recognition of its industrial achievement and contribution to the economy of Bahrain.

The company has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery and welding equipment and believes that it can offer its clients one of the most modern and well-equipped workshops in the region.

Ramsis Engineering is building a growing reputation in the oil and gas, power generation, aluminium and desalination industries.

The company policy is to build long term partnerships with its clients, based on the delivery of quality products on schedule at competitive prices.

Ramsis Engineering is confident that this policy will enable it to not only consolidate its business in the Gulf, but also allow it to expand into the worldwide export market.

Successful orders have been completed for major international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) clients such as Toyo, JGC, Chiyoda, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, MES, Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR), Parsons, Snamprogetti, AMEC, PECO, Technip, VA Tech, Fisia, ABB, FCB etc.

Ramsis Engineering has executed orders for projects throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and is on the approved vendors list for Saudi Aramco, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), Qatar Petroleum, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), Oman Refinery Company (ORC), Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd (Adgas), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco), Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Company (Gasco) and Takreer (Abu Dhabi).

On a local level, companies such as Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Bapco, Banagas, GPIC and the Ministry of Electricity and Water are considered to be its main valued clients.

The global move already seems to be taking effect, as Ramsis Engineering has recently been awarded a number of overseas contracts for the manufacture of pressure vessels from Toyo for Sabic affiliate Petrokemya's polyethylene project, in addition to heat exchangers and pressure vessels from Snamprogetti for Saudi Aramco's Haradh/Khuff gas project, and fire heaters from AMEC for the Saudi Aramco Berri project.

Ramsis Engineering has also successfully executed another international contract for MED-type desalination project through Austria's VA TECH for Indonesian state oil and gas company Pertamina, and columns for Q-Chem in Qatar through KBR/Technip.

Recently, Ramsis completed, on a local level, the manufacture of two seven metre diameter x 77m long incinerators for a calciner project at Alba, including mechanical installation for the Aleesa project. In Abu Dhabi, Ramsis recently and successfully executed the Adco Warranty Shutdown and was awarded the Takreer Shutdown.

Providing employment and training for Bahrainis is a top priority for Ramsis Engineering and today the level of Bahrainisation far exceeds the government directives.
