Abu Dhabi will begin recycling all of its waste water from next year, a top government official said in a report.

'Now, two-thirds of waste water is recycled in the emirate,' Alan Thomson, managing director of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Service Company, a state-owned company dealing with sewerage treatment services, was quoted as saying in the Gulf News.

He was speaking on the sidelines of the Middle East Economic Digest's Waste Water Treatment and Reuse Conference 2008 in Abu Dhabi.

There was no plan to improve the standard of waste water recycling to produce potable water, he added.
