Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) has launched its Gas Centre of Excellence in Doha, Qatar, enhancing support for LNG and gas projects globally.

The Centre brings together BV’s expertise in gas carrier operations, classification, and regulatory compli-ance, staffed by specialists experienced in newbuilds and vessels in service.

Based in Doha, it serves stakeholders across the Middle East and internationally, leveraging BV’s regional presence of 13 offices and 120 specialists.

BV currently classes 344 gas carriers, including 153 LNG carriers, and holds leading market shares in LNG shipping, membrane containment, dual-fuel certification, and bunkering vessel classification.
