Wood, a leader in consulting and engineering, has been awarded a significant contract with Thai Oil Public Company (Thaioil) to deliver engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for Thaioil’s Clean Fuel Project (CFP).

The CFP will see Thaioil expand and upgrade its refinery in Sriracha to increase crude refining capacity, produce more environmentally-friendly finished products and enable flexibility to process a variety of crudes.

This project is the foundation of Thaioil’s long-term strategy to deliver greener fuel while strengthening Thailand’s energy security.

Nick Shorten, Executive President of Projects at Wood, said, “This is a crucial project to ensure energy security for the Kingdom of Thailand. Wood’s team has previously delivered the front-end engineering design (FEED) in 2017 and our familiarity with the refinery, combined with our brownfield execution expertise, will be instrumental in allowing us to successfully deliver the EPCM phase at pace.

“Securing this latest award is a testament to the strength of Wood’s 43-year relationship with   Thaioil and the trust we have built through our strong local expertise and history in successful EPCM project delivery. I look forward to continuing this relationship and further cementing Wood as Thailand’s premier EPCM partner.” -OGN/ TradeArabia News Service
