Dry Break Couplers ... used extensively at fluid transfer points, vastly reducing product loss

AFI, Alaa For Industry, one of the leading industrial houses in the region and distributor of Emco Wheaton Dry-Break couplers and adaptors, has introduced the new Dry-Break II.

Emco Wheaton Corp (EW), Canada is the inventor of Dry-Break technology that has become an industry standard where Zero spillage is permissible. From oil industries to chemical industries, Emco Wheaton Dry-Break Technology has become an indispensable safety component whenever and wherever hazardous fluid transfer is carried out.
Dry-Break couplers and adapters are used extensively at fluid transfer points in the petroleum and chemical industries on such applications as lube oil blending plants, agricultural spraying activities, resin mixing and storage tank transfer.
The philosophy behind Dry-Break technology emanates from the fundamental need of safe and secure work environment. Accidental spillage not only results in human lives but also causes irreversible damage to environment. With more and more companies adopting technology to prevent accidents and safeguard Mother Nature, Emco Wheaton’s Dry-Break Couplers and Adaptors are a perfect solution. Emco Wheaton Dry-Break Couplers and Adapters are used in any application where the accidental spillage of liquids must be avoided
No-Spill Feature
Emco Wheaton Dry-Break couplers and adapters are designed for total safety. Fluid cannot flow until the Emco Wheaton coupler has been locked into position on an Emco Wheaton Adapter and the valve opened. The coupler can only be disconnected from the adapter when the valve has been closed.  Since product loss is thereby eliminated, possible hazards associated with leakage at disconnect are no longer a concern.
With constant product development in its technology, EW has recently introduced, Dry-BreakII(tm) couplers and adaptors that are capable of giving improved flow rate, reduced loss at disconnect and full interchangeability with existing Emco Wheaton units.
Selective Coupling
Emco Wheaton gives you the option of a selective coupling feature where product mix can be a potential problem. Selective couplers and adapters are called “partners” - the coupler will only connect with one specific adapter, or a selected series. Special screws fitted in select locations on the coupler and the corresponding adapter assures that the undesired connections and product mixing cannot occur. The enhanced poppet design allows for better flow characteristics in either direction
AFI group has more than 15 branches to including Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar and USA. In addition to Dry-Break couplers and adaptors AFI is a lead player in the oil and gas industry supplying a wide range of products and services.
