DNV working on project with PDO
DNV has been active for the last 24 years serving oil and gas industries in Abu Dhabi, including all Adnoc operating companies.
Its core activities are in areas of health, safety and environment (HSE), asset operations, risk management and certification/verification of topsides, structures and pipelines.
DNV is currently working on significant Asset Integrity projects for Adgas and Gasco in the UAE, PDO in Oman, KOC in Kuwait and Maersk in Qatar.
HSE & Risk Management clients include Zadco, Adyard, Inpex, Norsk Hydro (Iran) and Statoil (Iran). Of particular interest to clients at the moment are DNV's extensive worldwide experience in safety case development and implementation, asset integrity management system development, RBI and RCM services and the newly-introduced risk-based verification/certification service. It is also a recognised leader in the area of Pipeline Integrity Management and the DNV Pipeline design codes are recognised as a standard within the industry.
Adnoc, through its Codes of Practice, is delivering a world-class, risk based, framework for oil and gas development, which safeguards people and the environment, but ensures sustainable development of the UAE's key natural resources. The challenge for organisations such as DNV is to deliver quality support to the operating companies as they develop the systems required to operate within this framework.
In 2004, DNV moved to new, larger offices in the Trade Centre in Abu Dhabi. Now, in response to the rapidly developing market in the UAE, DNV is opening a further, satellite, office in Abu Dhabi specifically to house an expanding team of HSE & Risk engineers and consultants.
These office openings are to demonstrate DNV's commitment to provide quality resources in the region, located close to customers to allow for rapid response to their particular needs.
