SAUDI-BASED Masadir Industries Trading Corporation is making its presence felt in the oil and gas sector after the company established a joint venture with UAE-based Safe Trading Company.

The new venture, Safe Integrated Trading Corporation, has just started in Dammam with three professional staff members. More technical staff and engineers are likely to join the company during this year, says Khalid Mohammed Al Dees, president and CEO of Masadir Industries.

Safe Integrated is going to be one of the leading companies dealing with the oil and gas and industrial sectors in the coming years, he says.

“With a long management experience of over 30 years, Mujahed Hussain our managing director (who has been the managing director of Safe Trading in Dubai since its inception) will bring new techniques and products which are going to be environment-friendly and as such very safe.  We are soon going to be the leading stockist of lifting tools and accessories,” he says.

Safe Trading currently stocks and trades non-toxic and biodegradable cleaners and degreasers for cleaning oil tanks, refineries and oil rigs from Simple Green, US; oil spill and chemical spill absorbent products from Spilfyter, US; spill containment and Ultra Ever dry, a new technology to keep surface dry, from UltraTech, US;  high-pressure test pump up to 1000 bar from Kyowa, Japan; pipe cutting and bevelling through cold cutting process up to 2000 mm diameter pipes from Aotai, China; webbing slings up to 24 tonnes  and cargo lashing belts up to 10 tonnes from Citex, Holland; rigging accessories from Yoke, Taiwan; aluminium ferrules and aluminium extrusions from Goodcomer, Taiwan; fall arrest system from Edge, Belgium; safety spectacles from Univet, Italy; and oil dispensing tools and equipment from McLube, US.

Masadir’s product range includes structural steel, pipes, fittings, fasteners, valves, round bars, safety items, building materials, general supplies, material handling and lifting tools, he says.

The company, which registered a business growth of 25 per cent last year compared to the previous year, regularly supplies products to Saudi Aramco, Sabic and the local industries and dealers. The company takes pride in supplying high-quality products with test certificates and always bringing new technology and advanced products which are environment-friendly, he says.

“Since all our products are of European or ANSI or JS standards along with ISO certification, we are proud to be suppliers to Saudi Aramco and Sabic,” he says.

Predicting good prospects for the company in the coming years, he says it plans to start making lifting belts (webbing slings) and chain slings and wire rope slings by the beginning of next year for which Industrial licence has been obtained.

“We have exhibited at Saudi Petrochem show in May 2013 and had a very good response particularly for the product Ultra-Dry, which is a coating that can be applied to any surface,” he adds.
