AS part of its ongoing expansion drive Adnoc Drilling added 16 new rigs to its fleet in 2022 and hired over 1,500 people from around the world including the UAE. It aims to add a further 27 rigs by 2024 as well as more people.

As one of the largest drilling and completion services companies in the world, Adnoc Drilling is growing rapidly to enable Adnoc’s accelerated production capacity growth that was recently brought forward by three years to 2027. The company has been given the target to drill the thousands of wells needed to increase Adnoc’s production capacity as well as deliver UAE gas self-sufficiency.

Adnoc Drilling expects to hire 3,500 UAE nationals and expats by 2023-end. The company is home to specialists from 80 countries, including talent from Egypt, India, Algeria, Oman, Indonesia, Eastern European countries and South America.

All new recruits undergo rigorous training at the Drilling Training Centre in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi.
