OQ has commissioned the Ladayn Polymer Programme at Suhar Industrial City, marking the commercial launch of nine manufacturing plants with OR40 million ($104 million) in investments.
The programme, Oman’s first national polymer framework, links polymer production with downstream manufacturing, creating high-value products, boosting economic diversification, and generating around 435 direct jobs.
Recently, OQ signed 11 new agreements worth OR27 million, raising total investments to OR85 million, expanding the polymer ecosystem and reinforcing Oman’s regional downstream role.
Developed with Madayn, SEZs, and government support, Ladayn enables SME growth, skilled employment, and competitive, cost-efficient access to local polymers.
