A. Mohammed Mosheal Al-Qarni Est (MQE) is involved in the Quality Construction, Installation, Maintenance & Inspection of pipelines for oil, gas and water in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than three decades with latest updated International Quality Standards.

Q. Can you give us a brief history of the firm?
A. MQE was established in 1972 at Dammam. Later it developed its new offices and yards at Abqaiq, Udhailiyah, Uthamania, Jubail & Safania to cover the main oilfields of Saudi Arabia.

Q. Can you tell me about the focus of your company?
A. The main focus of the company is pipelines which is the backbone of the oil and gas industry. 
Apart from the above, the company is also involved in tank inspections and is looking forward to establish joint ventures with international inspection companies in the field of industrial construction.

Q. Can you tell us about the diversified range of services you offer?
A. Our diversified services include a) Quality Control b) Quality Assurance, c) Procurement, d) Rigroads e) Trading of Inspection Tools f) Trading of Computers and g) Cathodic Protection.

Q. Can you tell us about the unique approach your company employs to projects?
A. All projects are completed to client's specifications, requirements and satisfaction, implementing the ISO 9001 : 2000 standard.

Q. Can you elaborate of the key role played by your staff?
A. All staff is trained to achieve the required quality for services and products.

Q. How does the company offer complete satisfaction to the customer?
A. Our company is maintaining ISO 9001 : 2000 standards which is monitored by international quality inspection agency BVQI, which gives complete satisfaction to our clients.

Q. Could you tell us more about your heavy equipment?
A. The backbone of our business is our large fleet of heavy equipments, good condition cranes, excavator, loaders, boom trucks, dump trucks, welding machines, lowbeds, trailors, vacuum tankers, compressors etc which are our pride.

Q. Can you tell us about your quality assurance system?
A. The QA/QC team under the able leadership of the QA manager is responsible to control the quality as per the approved Quality Plan. The QA/QC team comprises qualified QA/QC manager, Quality inspectors of each discipline such as civil, mechanical, welding, electrical, cathodic protection & coating.

Q. Can you elaborate on your pipeline maintenance services?
A. We install all diameters pipelines upto 50 km length for oil, gas and water. Associated civil, mechanical and electrical works are the part of it.
Thrust boring, NDT, Hydro testing, Cathodic Protection are the routine parts of any pipelines project. Existing lines need repair attentions.
Based on the corrosion inspection report particular sections of pipelines are exposed, sand blasted, carbon steel sleeves are welded over these sections of pipes, coated or tape wrapped, backfilled and berming is stabilised by crude oil.

Q. What measures are taken to ensure your high standards in safety?
A. An approved 'Safety & Loss Prevention Plan' is maintained at all time at all sites. For more than 50 persons working at one location, an ambulance with certified medical attendant (male nurse) is deployed full time.

Q. Can you tell us about your relationship with Saudi Aramco?
A. Our company has the rare distinction of getting long term contracts of pipeline maintenance from Saudi Aramco continuously for the last 26 years which proves our strong relations with Saudi Aramco.

Q. What projects do you have in the future?
A: We have high potential in the pipeline business with Saudi Aramco, Royal Commission, Sabic & SWCC as oil industry is fast growing in Saudi Arabia.
